Profile

An ancient country estate, faces the gentle hills of Marche Region, a place always admired for its views and its surrounding landscape. Warm and serene tones, great attention to details, a place that still retains the charm of places seldom visited, where you can feel at home and enjoy moments of pure relax.

The Villa belonged to a branch of an ancient family of the Marche, Marquis Honorati, settled here since the end of the fifteenth century. It goes back a few years ago the desire of the founders, Claudio Honorati and his wife Paola, to continue the restructuring of the entire complex in order to unearth its original beauty and transform it in their own country house, making it available to all those who love outdoor life, in a rustic and elegant context at the same time.

It is managed now by the latest generation of the family, represented by his sons

The complex, beautifully restored and furnished with taste and elegance, is divided into a main building, the Villa, from the late seventeenth century, with six bedrooms and six bathrooms, and three minor buildings.

The Complex also offers a swimming pool with a very particular style, 3 x 15 meters, designed by the owners with shapes and colors such as to draw the image of an ancient fountain, blending into the complex without affecting its country house charm.

You can spend moments of real calm in the garden surrounding the buildings, with trees and flowers put on site based on the project by a famous English landscape designer.

Wonderful hilltop villages and towns are situated close to this Villa. The amazing and famous Frassassi Caves are 1 hour drive away.Truffle Centre Aqualagna is also 1 hour drive. Marche has 2800 shoe factories and wonderful factory outlets for clothes too! There are many local restaurants and Ostra Vetere has everything in the way of shopping, hairdressers etc. Historic places, local crafts, food, wine and oil production. Senigallia beach is approx. 20 mins away. It is famous for its velvet sand. As with all outstanding beaches in Italy, seating, umbrellas, play facilities for kids and WC plus cafe and restaurants are there. The Conero Riviera is not far away from here. It is a truly unique experience that is especially suitable for those who love sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing (which is favoured by strong, constant winds), and for skin-divers (due to the rich seabeds), and those who love canoeing (which is the ideal means to explore the cliffs of Mount Conero).

For those who would like to arrive by boat, they can moor in the harbour of Numana. Mount Conero is also one of the most charming areas in Italy to explore while biking, hiking or horseback riding. There are more than 20 hiking routes and birdwatching can also be enjoyed in many areas. There is a prestigious 27-hole golf course for golf enthusiasts, located on the downward slopes of Mount Conero, further to the South. For those who don’t love extreme nature and would rather have all the comforts of home, the Riviera has beaches with all the facilities for a comfortable holiday with many bathing establishments. For food lovers sea breezes and calcareous soil allow the Montepulciano vineyards to express themselves in the unmistakable taste of the ruby-red DOC and DOCG quality wine from the Mount Conero area (whose capital is Camerano).

Dishes to try: Fish in broth, a typical dish from the Riviera cooked with over 10 types of specialities, stoccafisso all’anconitana (stockfish from Ancona), vincisgrassi which is a local version of baked lasagne, rabbit (try the coniglio in Porchetta alla Filottranese recipe which is something special), chicken or lamb cooked in potacchio (boiled), and let’s not forget about the sweets, which include cavallucci (biscuits) from Cingoli or maiorchino (a soft almond cake) from Ostra Vetere......

Interior

THE VILLA ( 12 pers / 6 bedrooms 6 bathrooms) The original manor house in this small country estate is now a beautiful villa, splendidly restored and fully furnished as a private residence with an interior that makes co-exist in perfect harmony ancient and modern elements. From each of these details, you can breathe the care, the dedication and at the same time the imagination that the owners had over the years to restore it to its former glory.

The charming rooms of the ground floor with wide, colourful and bright spaces, a pool table, several sofas, a study area and large fully equipped kitchen with central island and breakfast table, will allow you to share moments of vacation or find places of tranquillity with comfortable seating. On the ground floor there is also 1 bathroom.

On the first floor, the villa offers 4 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom, each of which has been assigned a warm and original colour: the green room, the yellow room, the cream room, the blue room and the red room; some of them are equipped with an elegant private bathroom for a total of 4 bathrooms. Upstairs there is another big modern space, the attic, fascinating for its panoramic view from above with a bedroom, a sitting room and a comfortable bathroom.

Close by there are 2 restored Cottages:

Cottage 1 (4 pers. 2 DBL + 2 bath) pleasant restored cottage white painted inside, offers a relaxing and solar environment. It has two comfortable bedrooms ( 1 dbl room, 1 twin) and two bathrooms. It combines the modern design of its spaces with constant references to the country life in its furniture, paintings and finishing materials.

Heating   Usage will be metered throughout your stay and you will be charged accordingly. Charges must be paid directly on the spot to the owner or his/her representative before departing. Please note that heating in Italy, when not subject to restrictions by the local Government, is more expensive compared to other countries. If you look for a property in low season, make sure to ask for an estimate of the heating cost. You may be asked to make a supplementary deposit for heating expenses.

Water and Electricity    Please note that most of the properties in our portfolio are not the typical purpose-built Mediterranean holiday villas. Most are converted farmhouses or former manor houses, full of character and history. Water shortages do occur; please use it sparingly during the summer months. At the same time, Italy is probably one of the few countries in the world where the government has introduced a system of electricity limitators to contain the national consumption. This means you must be careful when using more than one appliance at once because the limitator will shut the electricity off.

Internet Connection   Many of our properties have an internet connection. From our experience, when a connection is interrupted due to technical reasons beyond our control, it is unfortunately very difficult, despite our efforts, to receive immediate assistance from some of the internet providers operating in Italy. We therefore strongly suggest that those who need to access their emails should bring their own BlackBerry, or a similar portable device. Please note that in any case we cannot accept responsibility for lack of these services.
